Experimental weekly wrap

Welcome to my second experimental email format this week Reader

Here's a round-up of my week.

In case you missed it:

My Tiny Triumphs of the week:

  • 52 new people grabbed my offer in Erin Kelly’s Better Business Toolkit - if you’re one of them, hi and welcome.
  • I had my first paying sponsorship slot for this newsletter.
  • I tried out two new newsletter formats - this round-up post, and Thursday’s journal prompt.
  • 50% of the people on the watilist for January’s Marketing On Purpose intake are current clients wanting to return.
  • On Thursday the sun was shining, so I took went for a cycle ride on the seafront. Sacrificed an hour's work, but so worth it for the sea, sunshine and soul-uplift.

Next week I will be:

  • Experimenting with themed days - focusing on different types of work on different days. I used to do this, but things have been a bit chaotic this year. I’m ready for more structure.
  • Using this system from Dama Jue (affiliate link) to showcase Black Friday offers from other businesses (3rd year running I've used it as it's so simple to set up)
  • Getting my End of Year offers on sale (I don't really do BF offers... these run until the end of the year).
  • Definitely sending out another journal prompt via email as that got great feedback.
  • Possibly sending out another one of these round-up emails depending on the results I get from this Poll 👇👇👇

P.S. I’m writing a blog post this week on how to add Polls to your emails (whether you use Kit*, or another email platform) - if you’ve got a question you’d like me to cover in the blog post, reply to this email.

What is the least fun marketing, selling, or client delivery thing you’ve had to do so far this month Reader? Is it something that comes up over and over, that you put up with because it's not that bad (like a teeny tiny stone in your shoe)? Can you avoid doing it in the future? Delegate it? Replace it with something else that’ll get the same outcome? Is this an opportunity to make your business just a little bit more comfy? Is it time to tip out the shoe stone? P.S. Book a 20-minute 1-1...

I’ve written/recorded a MemberVault review, including a video of behind-the-scenes in my account, and what it looks like from a student perspective. The total video is around 30 minutes long, or you can skim-read the text version of the review (with gifs of the platform) in around 5...

Today, I'm delivering questions to consider, not content to consume Reader What's the persistent idea that won't go away, even though you've resisted or ignored it? How can you give it a shot, in an experimental, fun, light way, without it needing to make strategic sense, or achieve a particular outcome? As always, your replies are welcome and encouraged. Did you like this format? Yes, please include more journal prompts in the Comfy Business Newsletter No thanks, I prefer reading emails that...
