Shared - bought - decided - listened to

Welcome to the first weekly wrap of January.

In case you missed it:

Also happening in my world:

  • Bought - a new mattress, and last night slept for 7 hours straight. Turns out the problem was not my body, but the thing that was meant to support my body.
  • Decided - to create a new chalk drawing in my bedroom window every month because it was fun over Christmas. And now it's almost middle of January and nope I have not started it yet 🤷‍♀️. I'll be working on sketches on my iPad in the games cafe this afternoon while Son#2 is at his Dungeons and Dragons meet-up....and maybe will draw the window tonight.
  • Listening to - Stuffocation by James Wallman - it's not just about things vs experiences, it's also about where the urge to work more, to have more comes from ('Show me the Hegemony' - shouted Jerry Maguire style - is looping in my head right now).

I almost had a new blog post to share with you today, Reader I set aside Monday mornings for content creation, and yesterday I drafted two blog posts. With about 90 minutes left until my first 1-1 of the day, I chose one to focus on so I could get it over the finish line and send it to you today. And then an unscheduled phone call came in related to the ongoing saga of securing an educational placement for Son#2. Since dealing with that is #1 on my priority list right now (and has been for...

If I can’t see it, it doesn’t exist, Reader This is why many delicious snacks have expired in my fridge only to be discovered several days/weeks after they ceased being safe to eat 😭 So even though I use Notion for all my business plans and ideas, I still need to physically write the plan down somewhere I can see it otherwise I will forget I made a plan, and I won’t do any of the things on the plan. I used to create an A3 poster and stick it to the inside of my wardrobe, so I could get a...

What happens after someone claims your Lead Magnet/s Reader? Lead Magnet follow-up emails can, unintentionally, end up being a bit naggy. If your email includes the phrase 'did you have a chance to look at NAME OF LEAD MAGNET yet?' your subscriber probably feels more harassed than supported. I don't want to write a Lead Magnet Follow-up Sequence template for you because so much depends on how many emails you want to send, what you sell, and your audience. So instead, I created this: 10...
